Brandt, I’ll be honest — our grassroots fundraising has been lagging in the last few days and I’m worried we might fall short on our goal before Wednesday’s FEC reporting deadline.

At the same time, outside groups are pouring money into North Carolina attempting to tear down our campaign while tens of thousands of people vote by mail as we speak. It’s a recipe for disaster.

I’m not one to panic, nor am I going to try and scare you into donating to our campaign today. I’m leveling with you because I know I can trust you and I know I can count on you to step up when it matters most.

Look, this election is being decided right now by voters all across North Carolina — and unless we bring in 4,769 donations by midnight, we might miss our fundraising goal and our chance to reach folks before they make their final decision.

If that happens, we might not have the resources needed to defend our campaign from outside attacks and flip this Senate seat. So, I’m asking:

Add a donation of any amount to our campaign today to make certain we have the resources to fight back against these attacks and turn out as many voters as possible. Every dollar before our FEC deadline will make a huge difference in this very close race:
