Double Your Impact: [[link removed]]

----------------------------------------

Dear Friend,

Cannoli, a sweet and healthy golden retriever, turns 2 years old today—but he
has nothing to celebrate. He's spent the entirety of those TWO YEARS—his whole life —trapped inside a lonely, sterile laboratory at Texas A&M University (TAMU).

Cannoli has never known the love of a kind and caring family. He has never felt the joy of a walk in a park. He has only rarely been outside the laboratory.
And without help, he likely never will .

Will you please support our campaign to rescue Cannoli and other dogs at TAMU
from loneliness—and give a boost to all of PETA's work to protect animals from
cruel experiments? Right now, every dollar you pitch in will be DOUBLED, up to our $500,000 goal! Even $2 is enough to make a difference.

A hard-hitting PETA campaign led TAMU to announce last year that it had stopped
breeding dogs to be tormented in painful, pointless canine muscular dystrophy
(MD) experiments. Many dogs were freed and placed in homes with families.
Cannoli, too, was made available for adoption. But then he was taken off the adoption list and transferred to another laboratory.

When our campaign against canine MD experiments first began, TAMU experimenters
held nearly 100 dogs in their clutches and were intentionally breeding them to develop symptoms of the debilitating disease. Powered by the
boundless compassion of supporters like you, PETA's demonstrations, lawsuits,
and others forms of activism have spared dozens of dogs and chipped away at the
school's indefensible cruelty.

But 25 dogs, including Cannoli, are still confined at TAMU, still being treated
like disposable lab equipment. Animals deserve better —and we must keep pushing to cross the finish line and prevent every single dog from
suffering.

Your gift of just $2 or more today will go twice as far to help get dogs like Cannoli out of
laboratories and strengthen our work to end ALL cruel and deadly experiments on
animals.

We've set a deadline of October 31 to raise $500,000 through the "Stop Animal
Testing" Challenge. Gifts made after that date or after our goal has been met
will not be matched, but they'll still make a tremendous difference to PETA's
work against cruel and deadly experiments on animals.
