Friend,

Ever wonder how Republicans monopolized congressional power for most of the last decade? It's because they ran the table on state legislative elections in 2010, and therefore controlled redistricting in 2011.

If Republicans win in state legislatures in 2020, they'll control our electoral maps for ANOTHER decade. Can you chip in today to help us stop them?

Here's what America "gained" under the last decade of Republicans using illegitimate majority power to advance their minority views:

-- Obstruction on common-sense gun safety legislation
-- Trillions in tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans
-- Two conservative, anti-choice Supreme Court justices
-- Extremist partisan appointees to government agencies
-- Multiple government shutdowns

Allowing the GOP to control our democracy for another decade would be devastating, friend. We can't wait ten more years to act on climate change, health care, racial justice, and making changes to the Supreme Court -- but that's exactly what's at stake in this fall's election.

That's why the NDRC is investing heavily in battleground states like Texas, where we need to flip just nine state legislative seats to take control of the state House. But even with historic fundraising, Democrats are still trailing Republicans' dark money operation in critical states.

We're running out of time to catch up, so we've set an aggressive goal of raising $85,000 by the end of September. Any amount helps us get there -- can you rush a contribution today?

Thanks,
Team NDRC
