A Note from Gil
Welcome back to the Gazette! Each month, my team compiles the latest updates from our campaign in order to fill you in on the ways you can get involved.
Over this past month, our community was on high alert as both coronavirus and wildfires of unprecedented ferocity battered the great state of California. And while first responders work to combat these crises, it’s important to recognize that the hardships exacerbated by each must be top of mind for all.
Across the globe, we also mourned the loss of a titan for justice, Ruth Bader Ginsburg. This was a devastating loss for our country. Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg spent her life fighting for justice, equality, and the rule of law. Her words and her legacy will live on forever.
In her memory, and on behalf of hardworking American families everywhere, I’m committed to my work addressing the challenges that loom large -- specifically, how to safely reopen schools and ensure that we’re supporting students and working families. As a veteran and education advocate, I’ve been proud of my work in Congress to lower health care costs, protect education funding, and work to create good-paying local jobs.
There is so much work to do in our district and in our nation, and I’m grateful to do my part. If there’s anything you have questions about, feel free to respond to this email -- a member of my team will reach out to you soon.
Thank you,
-- Gil

What has Young Kim been up to?
Over the past month, Young Kim and Trump Republicans have ramped up their vicious attacks against Gil’s candidacy -- unleashing a spate of misleading attack ads across the internet, in mailers, and on TV. With national GOP special interests playing a heavy hand in this race, we won’t be surprised if they end up spending millions attacking Gil.
The good news is that we feel confident about our attack response -- and our team has already worked out the details of our messaging and media placements. But we need your help ensuring that we can counter this attack (and those to come!) with enough force to mitigate its effects.
Can you chip in immediately to our rapid response fund to support our efforts?

Not a day goes by where every single one of us on Team Cisneros isn’t proud to run a 100% grassroots campaign. We wouldn’t have it any other way -- and from the tremendous support that we’ve received from folks across California’s 39th, it’s clear you feel the same way.
