I wanted to get this note in your inbox before you go to sleep tonight to ask you to add a contribution to Gil Cisneros’ re-election campaign before this weekend is over and we’re in the final five week sprint ahead of Election Day.

As you know -- and as we’ve been telling you -- this is one of the closest races in the country: Recent polling shows that Gil and his opponent are statistically tied. That’s why national Republicans are pouring hundreds of thousands of dollars into our district to fund misleading attack ads against Gil in an effort to sway undecided voters. And with special interest and super PAC spending anticipated to increase in these final weeks, it’s critical that we hit our online fundraising goal before our final end-of-quarter deadline on Wednesday.

We’re running this the right way, John -- and I’m so damn proud of the work that our team has already accomplished. But we can’t let up.
