Hey John,

Just wanted to personally follow-up with you about this influx of Super PAC dollars into our race. As we said in our email earlier today, a Republican Super PAC announced Friday that they're going to spend $750,000 on the race in VA-05. The reason is simple: they're trying to bail out my opponent because of all the momentum we've seized.

In the past few weeks, we had our first debate where a leading Republican blog in Virginia gave my opponent a D, but gave me a B+. The latest polls have shown that we've completely erased the small lead he had when we started this race. Finally, national pundits have determined that this race no longer "leans Republican", but is a "Toss Up."

So we were not at all surprised when this super PAC decided to throw some money at their problem. They know that Republicans have won this seat the last five times, and feel it slipping through their fingers! Even with their big pledge of support to my opponent, I'm still betting on all that we've built with your help. I remain as confident as ever that the power of people, united, is way stronger than that of any super PAC.

We're not going to be deterred by their desperate bailout effort for my opponent. We're going to stay focused and keep running a substantive, issue-focused campaign about healthcare, equity, justice, and opportunity.

Donate today so we can keep moving forward and flip this seat on November 3. Every contribution will help before Wednesday's FEC deadline.

Let's do this!

----FORWARDED MESSAGE----

John, we are now facing the biggest investment yet against us from allies of Bob Good.

The Conservative Leadership Fund -- the top super PAC for GOP House candidates -- just bought $750,000 in airtime for the final stretch of this race.

We'll be honest: this is a daunting number. A last-minute investment of this size can swing an election if unanswered.

But let's be clear: this super PAC would not be spending this much if Bob Good and the Republicans weren't seriously worried about losing the race. This ad-buy is an admission that the momentum is on our side -- just a week after our race was moved to a "Toss Up".

We've come so far in this race because of grassroots supporters like you. If we stand together, we can match what the super PACs are spending here.

So we're raising our end-of-quarter goal in light of these developments. To meet it, we need to raise a total of $100,000 from our online grassroots supporters in the next three days.

Please give any amount by Wednesday to help us make our goal and show that dark money groups are NOT going to buy this election.

Thank you so much,
