For more than 5 months, Mitch McConnell blocked meaningful COVID relief legislation in the United States Senate.

But when Ruth Bader Ginsburg passed away last Friday, Mitch McConnell wasted no time.

He immediately announced that the United States Senate would ignore Justice Ginsburg’s dying wish -- as well as the precedent he, himself, set in 2016 -- by ramming through a replacement justice in the middle of a Presidential election.

Once confirmed, Amy Coney Barrett would have the power to roll back our country’s laws on reproductive choice, affordable and quality healthcare and climate protections for decades. We can’t let that happen. [[link removed]]
DEMAND BETTER» [[link removed]] It’s clear Republicans are going all-in on stacking the court with young, ultra-conservative justices so they can overturn Roe v. Wade, gut the Affordable Care Act, and ram their unpopular legislative agenda through the courts.

Let’s take a quick look at Judge Barrett’s record: *

2017,
Judge
Barrett
wrote
it
was
“illegitimate”
for
the
Supreme
Court
to
uphold
the
Affordable
Care
Act,
arguing
the
court
was
“distort[ing]
the
Constitution”
*
In
2016,
she
expressed
disagreement
with
Brown
v.
Board
of
Education,
the
historic
Supreme
Court
Ruling
which
desegregated
our
schools
*
In
2012,
and
throughout
her
career,
Judge
Barrett
has
made
it
clear
that
she
thinks
it
is
a
“grave
infringement
on
religious
liberty”
to
require
employers
to
include
birth
control
in
their
healthcare
plans.

The stakes are clear and time is short.
