I wanted to check in because our first debate is tomorrow. Here's why it is critical for our campaign:

Since Senator Ernst has skipped a number of forums, this is the first time Theresa and Senator Ernst will debate. Theresa will lay out her plans to make health care more affordable, protect Social Security, and tell Iowans why she's standing up to corruption by taking zero dimes from corporate PACs.

And Joni Ernst? Well I bet we'll get a bunch of lies and phony lines she got straight from Mitch McConnell. While we can always count on Ernst to dodge questions, I hope she owns up to her record of voting to gut protections for folks with pre-existing conditions, breaking anti-corruption laws and spreading dangerous conspiracy theories about our health care heroes.

Listen, this debate is a key moment -- but right now our finance team tells me we're short of our pre-debate fundraising goal. That also means we're behind on our final FEC end-of-quarter fundraising deadline.

That's not good. Mitch McConnell and his allies are spending over $65 million to spread lies about Theresa. And with the latest poll showing our race is tied 47-47, I know they're going to spend even more.

I'm working to get Theresa ready for the debate, but I need you to step up and have her back, too.
