The September 30th public fundraising deadline could not be more important for Democrat Matt Cartwright’s re-election campaign – AND for our House Majority.

Here’s why: Every campaign, including Matt’s, will publicly release their fundraising totals in October. Republicans will pour over these reports, looking for indicators that their millions in dark money could make an impact and flip a blue seat red.

I don’t want Matt’s opponent, Trump Republican Jim Bognet, to find ANYTHING that indicates PA-08 is flippable. Rush an urgent donation to ensure Matt can hit his fundraising goals ahead of the September 30th deadline so we can keep PA-08 blue. →

The Trump/Bognet machine has thrown everything but the kitchen sink at Matt’s re-election campaign, including multiple visits from the President, fundraising asks from Donald Trump Jr., and promotions from Rick Santorum, Marco Rubio, and Mike Huckabee. Donald Trump even blasted out a tweet of support to his 86 million Twitter followers.

With this race expected to come down to the wire, I know that this onslaught is far from over.

We cannot take our eyes off this race for even a second. If we lose PA-08, our entire House Majority is at risk. And Republicans know it, so they’ll try every trick in the book and cash every billionaire check to take back the House.

We can’t let this happen. There’s too much at stake. So I’m personally asking, John: Will you rush a donation to Democrat Matt Cartwright’s toss-up race to secure our House Majority and keep PA-08 blue?

Matt has kept me updated on the race here in Northeastern Pennsylvania, and I’ve been impressed with how this grassroots team has his back. We can’t fall behind now with everything on the line.
