I'm proud that Giffords PAC has endorsed Andy Kim, who is a proven gun safety champion — we must help elect him in 2020.

While Andy is fighting to keep us safe, his opponent is fighting for gun manufacturers and the gun lobby. His opponent proudly touts his A+ from the NRA and supports concealed carry reciprocity in our state.

There is so much at stake this year: we need to expand our gun safety majority in the House, take back the Senate, and defeat the NRA's #1 ally — Donald Trump.

That's why we're proud to support Andy. If we can send him back to Congress this year, I know he will continue to be a tireless ally in our fight to save lives from gun violence.

But Andy's race against his Trump-backed opponent is neck-and-neck, and no Democrat has won re-election in his district since the 1800s. National Republicans are pouring in millions of dollars to try to buy this seat, and unlike his opponent, Andy isn't accepting a dime of corporate PAC money.

It's clear we need a lot more people like Andy in Congress if we want to see our gun laws change.
