In a second, I’m going to ask you to chip in $10 to my re-election campaign, but first I’d like to tell you why. Our final campaign finance report of the year is due in just 3 days, and soon, our fundraising numbers will be made public for anyone who wants to comb through them. That means my Republican extremist opponent and his special interest groups with piles of cash to use against me will be rummaging through the report to see how strong we are. Here’s the thing: you and I both know how strong this campaign is and that we’re ready to keep South Florida blue, but considering how loud of a voice I’ve been against the President’s corruption, the GOP has made it a personal goal of theirs to defeat me. If we show any sign of weakness after this public filing report, you can bet this toss-up race is going to tip into red territory. That's why I want to ask you personally to pitch in $10, $20, $30 or whatever you can afford to inch us closer to Wednesday’s public fundraising goal.
