Families are the bedrock of our communities, but raising a family is hard work -- especially with the rising costs of childcare in this country. Ben’s mom was a teacher who raised six kids by herself. He’s seen the difference affordable childcare can make for a family firsthand.

That’s why we must be doing more to make childcare affordable for the hardworking families in Utah and around the country.

Especially in the early years, affordable childcare is critical. Without it, parents are forced to miss work and make cuts when it comes to paying bills and putting food on the table.

These are the challenges many Utahns -- and countless Americans -- are facing every day. Too many parents are struggling to find care for their children, and our families and futures are paying the price. 

This is unacceptable, and it's time for Congress to take action.
