Hi John,
Run for Something is nothing without all of the grassroots activists, driven young people, and working families who volunteer their precious time and support to win sustainable permanent power for young progressives nationwide.
In 2017, Run for Something started out as a vision for the future, but it's all of you who gave it life.
Since our founding, we've endorsed 1,550 campaigns; 314 RFS endorsed candidates have been elected to office; and 516 are still on the ballot in 2020.
And. It's. Not. Enough. Especially now, in the shadow of Donald Trump's Supreme Court nominee.
There are still more young progressives to endorse and support, voters to turn out, and wins to rack up this cycle. But only if you step up. Can you chip in $5 to help close Run for Something's budget gap?
Seeing races going uncontested, no matter the office or the partisan demographics keeps me up at night. (After all, if we're not even on the ballot, we've given up before anyone goes to the polls.) I want to see young diverse progressives run for every and any seat they can -- but at the end of the day, it's Run for Something's job to recruit and support them.
Run for Something needs to do more -- but to be honest, John, we need your help if we're going to continue growing and competing on a larger scale.
I've seen what our amazing community can do.
You've elected young diverse progressives in races that no one considered winnable. You've helped teach and empower campaigns with advice from the best in the political world. And you've built our organization up from the ashes of 2016 because you know that our future depends on good people winning state and local power.
I didn't build that. My co-founder Ross didn't build that. YOU did.
And now I'm asking you, John, to take it even further and win sustainable, permanent power for progressives for generations to come. Chip in $5 or whatever you can to help us close the gap >>
