I knew Pennsylvania was going to be important in this election, but I never expected it to look like this.
As we learned recently, “the Trump campaign is discussing contingency plans to bypass election results and appoint loyal electors in battleground states where Republicans hold the legislative majority.” Here in Pennsylvania, GOP leaders have openly talked about their willingness to directly appoint Presidential electors if “faith and confidence” are lost in the mail-in vote process.

It seems that Republicans are already shopping around for a legal foundation to declare the entire mail-in process broken, with a politically-motivated Federal investigation into an apparent processing error at the Luzerne County Board of Elections.
As an elected official, I will fight to ensure your vote counts and pledge to fight against any political maneuvers that undermine our democracy.
But I also need your help to communicate with voters over the next 38 days, especially when it comes to educating voters on how to CORRECTLY complete and return mail-in ballots. We can’t afford to give Trump’s team any ammunition during their November inquisition!
