In just four days, we have to file our fundraising numbers of the quarter with the FEC. The past three months have been our first full quarter in operation, and it's critical that we show up as strong as we can in these filings.
Oftentimes, political media and pundits will use these fundraising numbers to determine the strength of our political movement. These judgments can bolster our mission to elect candidates who will speak truth to power, but they can also sometimes discourage people from supporting our movement if we don't publish a strong report.
And I don't know about you, John, but I believe the past few months have made it crystal clear that our movement and endorsed candidates are needed now more than ever. The stakes in this election are simply too high to not do everything we can to bolster our movement and elect lawmakers who will fight for their constituents and speak truth to power.
I'm proud to have endorsed 24 candidates across our country who will do just that alongside me in Washington. We've helped our candidates win their competitive primaries. And now, we're working as hard as we can to elect them in the general.
Now, the political establishment is rightfully worried that our independent voices for change will stand up to their decades of corruption, and fight to reform our political system and economy. They're doing everything in their power right now to stop them from getting there—but we can fight back.
