Hello,
Moments ago, Trump announced Amy Coney Barrett as his pick for the Supreme Court of the United States. It's clear what Trump is trying to do, John. Forcing through a nomination is a last-ditch effort to dismantle the Affordable Care Act (ACA) before Election Day.
Right now, Trump's cronies are in court suing to eliminate the ACA. Amy Coney Barrett could be the pivotal vote needed to rip away health care coverage from countless Americans. We can't let that happen.
If Amy Coney Barrett is confirmed, the newly stacked Supreme Court could hear the ACA court case as soon as November 10. Not to mention she could roll back countless hard-won victories for women's reproductive rights, workers' rights, voter protections, and more.
I will never stop fighting against the Trump administration's relentless health care sabotage campaign. Please add your name now to demand the Senate hold on confirming the SCOTUS pick until after the next president is inaugurated.
The late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg had one final wish, and that was for the Senate to hold on filling the SCOTUS seat. Trump is directly going against her wishes, while refusing to wait so the American people can weigh in at the polls.
Now, the stakes couldn't be higher as we continue to face a pandemic and with millions of Americans out of a job. Americans need affordable health care — it's a human right.
Enough is enough. Join me in demanding the Senate quit playing political games with our health care and with the highest court in the land. Tell them to HOLD on confirming a new Justice until after the next president is inaugurated.
Thank you,
Dwight Evans
