Trump just announced his nominee to replace Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg on the Supreme Court. His pick is the conservative, anti-immigrant and anti-choice Amy Coney Barrett. Now, it’s on us to fight back against his xenophobia and racism harder than ever.
Just this summer, Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg saw through a malicious attack on immigrant young people, casting a vote to protect DACA recipients and their families from deportation. Without her vote, millions of our communities would have been impacted. That’s why we must fight to keep Amy Coney Barrett from filling Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s seat.
In fact, every major issue we care about — from DACA and TPS to health care and reproductive rights — will be impacted for decades to come by Amy’s hardline views.
Amy Coney Barrett has an anti-immigrant record: she was the only one in a three-judge court to side with Trump this year on his racist public charge rule, which would have punished working class immigrants for accessing basic assistance housing, food and health care.v
That’s why we launched the UWDA PAC — so that every person impacted by the last four years will have a chance to volunteer and help stop these Republicans and their white supremacist beliefs from hurting us.
