Friend,
Moments ago, Donald Trump announced Amy Coney Barrett as his pick to replace the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg on the United States Supreme Court.
Throughout her judicial career, Judge Amy Coney Barrett has been a fierce opponent of quality, affordable health care, access to insurance-provided birth control, and a woman’s right to choose.
Despite Justice Ginsburg’s final wish to not have her seat filled until the next president is sworn in, Mitch McConnell and Trump are rushing to pack the court in the final weeks of this high-stakes election. We must fight to honor Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s legacy and stop this Republican power grab.
Fight to save our courts: Write your senators and urge them to reject the nomination of Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court.
If confirmed, she would mark a radical shift in the balance of the court — cementing a dangerous, right-wing judiciary for generations. Barrett was handpicked by Mitch McConnell, far-right ideologues, and corporate interests to tip the scales of justice in their favor.
This is one of the biggest fights of our lifetime. A 6–3 conservative majority on the Supreme Court would give Republicans an opening to overturn Roe v. Wade, strike down the Affordable Care Act and protections for pre-existing conditions, and dismantle our voting rights.
Exactly one week after this November’s election, the Trump administration is set to argue in front of the Supreme Court to overturn the entirety of the Affordable Care Act. If McConnell is able to confirm Barrett before the election, the ACA could be gone for good — leaving 23 million Americans without coverage.
Over the next few weeks, we must fight tooth-and-nail to defeat Donald Trump and flip the U.S. Senate — while also putting pressure on incumbent senators to block any confirmation vote until after the American people can weigh in at the ballot box.
Send an urgent message to your senators: Block Amy Coney Barrett’s confirmation to the Supreme Court.
Thank you,
