We have a childcare crisis in this country.

Before I ran for Congress, the cost of childcare for my daughter Betsy alone was $16,080 — more than an entire year of in-state tuition at UC Irvine.

To combat the increasing cost of childcare, I introduced the Family Savings for Kids and Seniors Act, a bill that offers families a way to keep more of what they earn to pay for the childcare and elder-care.

We can't wait any longer, working families need affordable childcare.
