John, it is not an exaggeration to say that the outcome of this fall’s election will determine the future of our nation for generations. That is why, with so much on the line for our country, I'm asking you to make an urgent $7 donation to the DNC before Wednesday's quarterly deadline.
We are at a real turning point. The Supreme Court is on the ballot. Protecting the Affordable Care Act while millions of Americans are losing their jobs is on the ballot. And who is in control of the 2021 redistricting process that will determine whether we have fair electoral maps for the next decade is on the ballot. That’s why it’s imperative to the health of our democracy that we not only elect Joe Biden this fall, but Democrats at the state and local levels as well.
For some campaigns, the DNC is the only resource they have. Your support -- whether it’s $1 or $7 -- will make a direct impact on some of the final decisions our party will make about where we can get out the vote. We have one shot to change the course of this nation for the better -- and if everyone on this grassroots team steps up today, I believe we can get it done.

As we enter the final stages of these races, throwing our full support behind Joe Biden and Kamala Harris is crucial, but I want to be clear: If we fail to elect Democrats down-ballot, the progress this nation so desperately needs will grind to a halt. Simply put, it is not enough to just beat Donald Trump. Preserving our democracy for years to come requires us flipping the Senate, holding our House majority, and winning state and local seats all the way down the ticket.
The DNC is the key to accomplishing this goal. Our party provides crucial resources to campaigns up and down the ballot, like up-to-date voter data and an expanded digital organizing capacity. With folks already casting their ballots in some states, these programs are critical to getting out the vote in the last few weeks of this fall’s elections.
