Friend, it's Cori Bush. Do you have a second?
A few weeks ago, I won an upset primary victory against an entrenched incumbent here in Missouri's 1st District.
I owe that victory in part to the progressive movement that my friend Ilhan Omar helped build.
That movement hasn't gone unnoticed. Our opponents are scared of our growing power, so they're using smears and ugly attacks to undermine it.
In fact, just days ago, Donald Trump launched more racist attacks against Ilhan at one of his rallies.
We need your help to fight back. Will you rush your first gift to my friend, Ilhan Omar, to help her combat Trump's smears and to make sure she can continue to grow our powerful movement?
The timing isn't a coincidence, friend. Trump's attacks came after Ilhan won her primary by shattering turnout records and bringing 37,000 new voters into the fold. They came at a time when Trump is desperately trying to flip Minnesota red.
Make no mistake: Trump's ugly attacks are designed to undermine not just Ilhan Omar, but our entire movement. They're designed to try to intimidate us into silence. Trump hates that we're engaging young people and working to make bold, progressive ideas a reality, so he'll try to stop us at any cost.
Between now and Election Day, attacks like these from Trump and his allies are only going to get worse. We need to be ready to respond -- and fast. Will you help out by rushing a gift to Ilhan Omar today? [link removed]
I look forward to working with Ilhan to grow our movement -- and I look forward to serving with her in Congress.
In solidarity,
Cori Bush
