END-OF-QUARTER DEADLINE: 5 days left

Back in 2016, Senate Republicans refused to nominate a Supreme Court justice because they claimed it was too close to the election.

Now, these same Republicans are doing exactly that -- rushing a confirmation in the final 38 days of an election.

Sen. John Cornyn (TX) in March 2016:
"The only way to empower the American people and ensure they have a voice is for the next President to make the nomination to fill this vacancy."

We've endorsed MJ Hegar to replace him.

Sen. Joni Ernst (IA) in March 2016:
"In the midst of a critical election, the American people deserve to have a say in this important decision that will impact the course of our country for years to come."

We've endorsed Theresa Greenfield to replace her.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (KY) in Feb. 2016:
"The American people should have a voice in the selection of their next Supreme Court Justice. Therefore, this vacancy should not be filled until we have a new president."

These Republicans cannot be trusted and we cannot let them get away with it.
