John, this Wednesday will mark the single biggest fundraising deadline of this race so far: Our final quarterly FEC deadline before November 3. That's why I'm about to ask you to be one of 42 people from Washington we need to donate $7 to reach our quarterly goal. Before I do that, let me lay out exactly what is on the line, and why donations before this milestone are so crucial:
Our democracy is on the ballot. The Supreme Court is on the ballot. And here's the deal: Ballots are already being cast in some of the most crucial battleground states that could decide this election. Since this Wednesday will mark the final quarterly deadline before Election Day, it's no exaggeration to say that what we raise before then will be among the final dollars we can spend getting out the vote for Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, and Democrats down the ballot.
I’ll be honest, this fight has been tough. But we cannot give up now. Democrats will be able to stay on track to reach our fundraising goal and to defeat Trump and the GOP if 42 people from Washington chip in. That's why I am urging you to be among them if your budget allows.
