Donald Trump’s CDC director testified last week, saying that a COVID-19 vaccine likely won't be available until next year. Trump directly contradicted him shortly after, asserting that a vaccine would be available by October, and that “distribution is going to be very rapid.”

Trump’s complete disregard for science comes at the expense of everyday Americans as he continues to push a vaccine timeline that most health officials have warned is “extremely unlikely.” And when he’s not pushing dangerous expectations, he’s encouraging Americans to develop a “herd immunity” that will endanger millions.

We agree with Joe Biden, who said plainly: “I trust vaccines. I trust scientists. But I don’t trust Donald Trump.” If Trump is re-elected, there’s no doubt he will continue to lie in order to hold on to power and further alienate the experts and advisors that we rely on.

Our country is at a turning point. It is imperative that we work together to elect more Democrats in the House, take back the Senate, and vote Joe Biden and Kamala Harris into the White House. We need leaders who will work to protect American families instead of endangering them.
