Dear John,

No challenge poses a greater threat to our environment, economy, and national security than climate change. This is a challenge that does not pause for partisan gridlock. It demands our attention now.

So, the question is not whether we need to act. John, the question now is whether we will come together and act before it's too late. The good news is that the United States is already equipped to lead the world towards a solution on climate change. All we have to do is come together and take climate action now.

This month marks the anniversary of the landmark Paris Agreement, which made the United States a global leader in the fight against climate change. Chris joined a congressional delegation to COP 21 in Paris, and met with global leaders who shared our commitment to taking action. The agreement signed at the end of the conference was the result of hard work over four previous presidential administrations.

President Trump's decision to pull out of the Paris Agreement was a disastrous step backward, and totally at odds with our closest allies and millions of Americans. Now, Chris is looking for a way forward and he's willing to work with anyone to make that happen. He introduced the bipartisan Climate Action Rebate Act to reduce carbon emissions while also generating economic growth.

If you're with Chris in this fight to combat climate change, add your name today. Together, we can send a clear message to Trump that climate change isn't up for debate.
