John,
This is it: the last day of our Giving Day Campaign. We have until midnight to reach our goal of raising $20,000 for America’s public lands.
The reason we’re trying so hard to raise these funds is that there’s so much that needs to be done.
- 128 acres of pristine desert land next to Arizona’s Saguaro National Park have to be protected from irreversible development.
- The construction crews that are blasting in Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument in Southern Arizona must be shut down.
- The Administration’s plan to auction off leases for drilling and mining on public lands throughout the West must be terminated.
In addition, your support during our Giving Day Campaign will help advance our goals to create neighborhood parks near the more than 100 million people who don’t have one now; protect one million acres of land, create 35 new parks, open green schoolyards in 20 school districts, protect 1,000 miles of rivers, and build 1,000 miles of trails by 2025.
John, you can help make all this happen by contributing to the Giving Day Campaign. But that campaign ends today, so please act now.
Sincerely,
Kim Elliot
Director of Annual Giving
