The passing of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg presents an opportunity for conservatives to leave a legacy that will last for generations, and Heritage Action is prepared to meet this moment. "Fight For America" has been our anthem all summer and now it has taken on additional meaning in the fight to confirm a conservative, constitutionalist Justice.
The Left has threatened to pack the Court, grant statehood to Washington, DC and Puerto Rico, and commit even more violence in the streets if Republicans confirm another Trump nominee. These are threats against the Constitution, our American institutions, and the American people themselves. The American people elected President Trump and the Senate, both of whom are doing their jobs as the constitution directs. We must support them in doing so by counteracting the leftist narrative.
To Fight For America is to stand for American values, our institutions, and the rule of law, and we will continue to engage on multiple fronts:
- Fighting for America includes voting for American values. We are canvassing swing voters in battleground states as part of our Fight For America campaign. The American people want the Senate to swiftly consider President Trump’s SCOTUS nominee, and our ability to talk to swing voters and activate them in the Supreme Court confirmation fight will pay dividends.
- Since the passing of Justice Ginsburg, the Left has been calling for more riots in the streets. The rule of law is under attack and now, more than ever, we must stand for law enforcement against calls to “defund the police.” Our Police Pledge is a way to do just that in getting elected officials at all levels of government on the record supporting police and opposing chaos, violence, and lawlessness. And our “No Police, No Peace” billboards in New York City, Atlanta, and Dallas are driving the message home in cities that have embraced the “defund the police” movement.
- We will continue to arm the grassroots with vital information so you can encourage Senators to carry out their constitutional duty to confirm a qualified Supreme Court nominee swiftly and fairly.
