We've got a quick update from Capitol Hill:

After months of a stalemate, members of Congress are now drafting a new coronavirus package that could be put forth early next week. We need to ensure this proposal includes immediate assistance for hospitals and health systems on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Send a message to your lawmakers now and urge them to prioritize patient care as they prepare the upcoming coronavirus package >>

In addition to immediate funding, here are some of the key provisions hospitals and health systems urgently need:

- Support for Hospital Heroes, including coverage for child care, transportation, and educational benefits.
- Forgiveness of Medicare accelerated payments to make it easier for hospitals to recover from the devastating financial impact of COVID so they can continue to provide crucial patient care.
- Preservation and expansion of health insurance coverage by maintaining coverage for individuals and families and extending coverage options for the uninsured.
- Liability protections for front line health care providers and facilities treating COVID patients.

We've included these provisions, and more, in the letter at the link below. All you need to do is enter your information and hit the "Next" button to get started.

Your action can make a big impact for local hospitals and health care systems. Email Congress now:
