Right now we are fighting to reinstate Toni Morrison's The Bluest Eye in a high school in California where it has been banned. This year, we saw book bans in Alaska, Tennessee, and Missouri that would punish educators and librarians for safeguarding the fundamental right to read. We’ve also advocated for the right of readers to access the books by John Bolton and Mary Trump that the Trump administration has repeatedly attempted to block.
As we head into the most contentious election of our lifetime, we’re asking you to contribute any amount you are able to help us protect the freedom to write.
