John, it’s been a difficult week. Here’s what’s happened:

ONE: Mitch McConnell and the GOP didn’t waste a second side-stepping Justice Ginsburg’s last wish by pushing forward their morally inept agenda to replace her with a far-right Supreme Court Justice right before the election. Disgraceful.

TWO: The occupant in the White House admitted that if he loses the election, he won’t commit to a peaceful transition of power — a cornerstone of our democracy. (This comes shortly after his “joke” about negotiating a third term because he’s “entitled” to it…)

THREE: Forty-five is expected to announce his Supreme Court nominee tomorrow. There’s no doubt he’ll choose a right-wing extremist who will stop at nothing to dismantle the Affordable Care Act, overturn Roe v. Wade , and so much more — and cement Trump’s most hateful and unjust policies into law long past his presidency.

John, this week was a tough one. But in times like these, we can’t lose sight of what’s important. Barbara and this team are fighting tooth and nail for justice, our most vulnerable communities, and our democracy — but if we’re really going to create lasting change, we cannot do it alone.
