Friends – we are at a turning point for the state of democracy and equality in our nation.

In the void Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg leaves behind, President Trump and Mitch McConnell are guaranteed to try installing a successor who could rewrite her entire legacy and shift the highest court in the land further to the right for a generation with another unqualified justice. 

The right of American women to control their own bodies is at stake. Voting rights are at stake. Our right to affordable health care is at stake. Gun safety is at stake.
Holding President Trump accountable for his corruption is at stake. That's all on the ballot in just 39 days, and it's more important than ever that we speak out and fight.

In Justice Ginsburg, we had a trailblazer who opened doors for so many – and we can't afford an extremist, conservative Supreme Court that could shut those very doors she helped to throw open.

This isn't about shaming Mitch McConnell for his blatant hypocrisy for blocking President Obama's Supreme Court nominee from consideration ahead of the 2016 election. The nation has seen time and again that he's shameless when it comes to maintaining power and pushing his ultraconservative agenda. It's why he's rammed through countless judges since Donald Trump took office. 

It's about you, friends – and the American people who deserve a say in who nominates the next Supreme Court justice with their votes on Nov. 3. If we want to save the future of our Supreme Court, then we need to double down like never before and fight.
