Reports indicate Trump intends to nominate Judge Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court.

Amy Coney Barrett is exactly who Donald Trump said he would pick as a Supreme Court justice: someone who could be counted on to overturn Roe v. Wade and end the Affordable Care Act -- kicking millions of Americans off their health care during a pandemic. Yep, Trump wants her to fill Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s seat on the Supreme Court.

Justice Ginsburg has not even been buried yet. This process is so foul and illegitimate.

Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s last wish was that her seat not be filled until after the inauguration. As people around the country were gathering this past week to mourn her loss and honor her legacy, Republicans were working overtime to rush through her replacement.

We are not surprised Trump and McConnell paid no heed to RBG’s final wish. But we are enraged -- and we are prepared to fight back with everything we’ve got to keep Amy Coney Barrett as far away from the Supreme Court as possible.
