Dear Friend,

The secular community lost a champion this week with the passing of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

Justice Ginsburg defended the secular values founded in our Constitution (more specifically the First Amendment).  For that alone, we should be forever grateful for her service to our nation; not to mention her dedication to the fight for equal justice under the law for all Americans.
While the nation honors her life and legacy, there is a plan afoot from the administration to rush a replacement into her now vacant seat on the nation’s highest court.  The President has declared that he will be nominating a woman to replace Justice Ginsburg, and while that is an appropriate response, the women that have appeared on the President’s “short-list” are unfit to fill RBG’s shoes, and would in fact insult her legacy with rulings and decisions that would be contrary to Justice Ginsburg’s record.

Also, at no other time in the nation’s history has a Supreme Court Justice been confirmed during an election; which our nation finds itself squarely in at this time, with ballots having already been cast by many Americans.

In order to prevent the legacy of Justice Ginsburg from being tarnished with a replacement that would be the antithesis of everything she stood for, we are asking you to contact your Senator and tell them to not take any actions to confirm a new Justice prior to the inauguration on January 20, 2021 which you can do by clicking here or the 'Honor Her" button below.
Together with your help,  we can ensure that Justice Ginsberg’s legacy will live on and continue to be a guiding light for justice and equality for all Americans.
