Hi John,

We're making great strides in our efforts to support young, diverse progressives running at the state and local levels.

However, we are facing a hurdle: $400,000.

This is what we still need to raise for our budget this year so we can continue to provide the tools for progressive candidates in competitive races across the country -- tools that can make the difference between victory and defeat.

What has that work looked like?

For the 2020 election cycle to date, RFS has endorsed 632 candidates in 50 states and DC. 51% of our 2020 candidates are BIPOC, 23% are LGBTQIA+ and 53% are women. (And heads up, we're still doing one more round of endorsements before Election Day!)
A total of 314 RFS candidates have been elected to office to date (516 are still on the ballot in 2020).
RFS has recruited more than 9,000 volunteers, coaches, and creatives to serve our pipeline of more than 61,000 potential candidates.
Our Armchair Chat series with campaign pros had 1,631,355 people tune in to learn how to run better campaigns.

Now, here's a hard truth: the November presidential election and Senate races are absolutely a priority. But if Democrats don't also buckle down in state and local races, we will continue to lose power. It's not enough to win at the top. We have to win everything.

If RFS doesn't hit this goal, we have to scale back. And that means more seats left uncontested, more GOP control of the redistricting process, and worse.
