Four years ago I spoke at the Democratic National Convention, not as a politician, but as a father who lost his son in the Iraq War and knew we had to stand up against Trump's hateful rhetoric. I never wanted to grieve my dear son, Humayun, in the national spotlight, but could not stay quiet while Trump disrespected me, my son, and millions of Muslims who call this country home. And I refuse to stay quiet now while he calls service members "losers" and "suckers." Trump has made it clear that not only has he never read the Constitution, he does not have regard for a single word written in it or those who protect it.
