National: Defunding 👮 Decreases Safety 

Around the nation cities consider giving in to the mob and defunding their police. But what would be the ramifications of doing so?

State: Spend Less = Save More 💰

Looking ahead to Texas' 87th Legislative Session, TPPF released the Conservative Texas Budget to encourage state legislators to cut spending and save taxpayer money. To break down the budget, we brought together policy and budgetary experts for a livestream - check it out here! 📺

"The Conservative Texas Budget is an effective maximum threshold for prioritizing the taxpayer in the state budget process as every dollar spent comes out of the pocket of Texans,” said TPPF’s Chief Economist Vance Ginn, Ph.D. “Since this approach was implemented ahead of the 2015 legislative session, budgets have grown less than half the rate of the five prior state budgets. This trend should continue for the 2022-23 Texas budget especially as many families are recovering from the recession due to COVID-19 and government lockdowns."

Local: Making Government Work 👏

While it may seem impossible, there is a way to make government work. TPPF teamed up with State Representative Tan Parker, and Merrie Spaeth of Spaeth Communications, Inc. to launch a new publication, "Making Government Work" which addresses critical issues in our state with some of the most powerful voices in America.
