We’ve had some exciting news and critical race updates since Congressman Hakeem Jeffries wrote to you this morning.

Today, President Barack Obama endorsed my campaign! Pres. Obama supports me because he trusts me to “work to get the virus under control, rebuild the economy and the middle class, and protect Americans’ health care and preexisting conditions protections.”

I am honored to have the former president’s support ahead of one of the most consequential elections of our lifetime. This is a thrilling moment for me and my team, but we also learned that the Congressional Leadership Fund, a right-wing Republican PAC, has just placed a $750k TV buy in NY-01 in an effort to stop our fight for Suffolk County families.

The CLF and Lee Zeldin are funneling money into their strategy to spread baseless lies about me. To counter their attacks, we need to raise $12,400 more before Saturday night for our attack ad response fund.

Zeldin and I are both up on TV -- I know we have the stronger message to share, but we need to continue to raise the resources to combat Zeldin’s lies and ensure our victory on November 3.

Folks in New York’s 1st District will be receiving their ballots any day now, and we need to get our message in front of every voter before they send them back.

We need to be prepared to counter the onslaught of far-right attacks against me. The NRCC has been attacking me for WEEKS -- and we expect the hits to pick up in the final days.
