Earlier this week, the National Republican Congressional Committee went too far with their extreme lies against Abigail, attempting to link her to terrorism. This smear campaign came as no surprise, as we faced the same attacks in 2018.

As a former CIA officer, Abigail worked every day to fight terrorism keep our country safe. Yet, the NRCC is now spending tens of thousands of dollars on TV across our district attempting to link her — a woman who worked countering terrorist recruitment and attacks — with terrorism.

These ads have one purpose: to stoke fear in Central Virginians.

Sadly the NRCC seems willing to say anything in an attempt to influence or scare voters, which is why they continue to go so low. They aren’t challenging Abigail’s voting record or her positions on the issues that matter to voters, and they certainly aren’t attempting to say anything positive about her opponent.

These ads remind us of what’s at stake in this election - trust, decency, good governance, and a focus on the issues that matter.

John, will you help us remind voters of what’s at stake and set the record straight as it relates to these ridiculous attack ads?
