John, before I ask you to chip in toward our end-of-quarter goal, let me take a step back.
What is “end-of-quarter?” At the end of every financial quarter, campaigns have to publicly release their fundraising totals – what they’ve spent, what they have in the bank, and more!
Because these numbers are publicly available through the Federal Election Commission (FEC), reporters, pundits, analysts, and especially our opponents run through them with a fine-tooth comb looking for anything that might signal weakness.
If we don’t have enough in the bank to get us through November 3, national Republican groups will see we’re vulnerable and flood this district with EVEN more dark money and national surrogates like Donald Trump.
Heard enough? Donate today to ensure we can post a huge fundraising total on October 1 →

Every quarterly deadline is important. But the September deadline is the most important of the entire campaign because it’s the LAST one before November’s election.
We don’t have another chance to prove ourselves before voters cast their ballots. We don’t have another opportunity to make up ground if we fall short. This is it!
Campaigns like ours make their final decisions on advertising, voter contact, and more in October based on September fundraising totals. A weak September number could drastically upend the entire strategy that we’ve been carefully building toward all year. And we know our opponent Jim Bognet is carefully plotting his October push with big help from Donald Trump, Mike Pence, Donald Trump Jr., and Rick Santorum.
That’s why your support is so critical ahead of “end-of-quarter.” Can you rush a contribution today to help us hit our goals and show everyone we have what it takes to win in November?

– Colleen
