Hi John,

We reached out at the beginning of the month to share the powerful, progressive women we’ve been able to endorse with your help -- women who are working hard every day to unseat House Republicans and defend Democratic seats. With your contributions, we’ve been able to help their campaigns reach as many voters as possible, engage new audiences, and combat GOP attack ads.

But right now, the GOP is fighting to unseat recently-elected Democrats in key states, including Freshman Rep. Debbie Mucarsel-Powell in Florida and Rep. Lucy McBath in Georgia.

Both of these endorsed women beat their incumbent Republican opponents by less than 2 points in 2018 and are now running against two Trump-endorsed candidates. Rep. Mucarsel-Powell’s opponent, Carlos Gimenez, has said he’ll follow GOP policies, oppose the Affordable Care Act, vote against gun control legislation, and support efforts to fund Trump’s wall -- following directly in the footsteps of this failed president.

But despite relying on small-dollar donations compared to GOP candidates backed by powerful special interests, Rep. McBath currently leads her Republican opponent 48% to 46% -- and Rep. Mucarsel-Powell is slowly outraising Gimenez.

In response, the GOP is investing millions targeting these crucial battleground races, in an attempt to take control of the House -- and The Cook Political Report found Rep. Mucarsel-Powell’s race is now a “toss-up.”

We have less than a few weeks to support Democratic women in key battleground states and ensure we keep our House majority in November -- and right now we’re short of the goal we’ve set for ourselves. If we fail to meet that goal, we’ll have to scale back our endorsements, leaving candidates without the critical funds they need as election day approaches.

Today, we’re reaching out to those who’ve supported us in our fight to break barriers and create a new, representative government for women across the country. Your support has been vital in helping women candidates across the country run successful campaigns this election cycle, and we need your help to get them across the finish line.

Together, we can create a government that fully represents the diversity of our people and support leaders who will champion the fight for reproductive rights, racial equity, affordable health care, and gun control legislation. With the election quickly approaching, can we count on you to make a contribution of $5, $10, $25, or more if you’re in a position to, to protect our House majority and elect a record number of women in November? >> [link removed]
