One of the more recent and unique examples of the ways EDF Members are stepping up is the amazing response we saw to our campaign to build a Misinformation Brigade.
We know one of the biggest challenges we’ve faced in the fight to secure climate action is the propaganda industry that has been built up and lavishly funded over the last quarter century to deny the science and generate confusion.
And these distortions are spreading across social media with increasing speed and spread. So last month, we launched a Misinformation Brigade to build a base of engaged and enlightened climate activists to expose and confront the lies. Nearly 5,000 of you signed up, greatly exceeding our initial estimates.
This is the kind of response we are so thankful for -- and gives us the opportunity to call out the anti-science propagandists.
Our members are one of EDF’s greatest strengths, and we couldn’t do any of this without your support.
