The actions of Trump and Senate Republicans less than two hours after the passing of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg are like we are living in a parallel universe. This is horrifying, distorted, dishonest and terrifying!
The corrupt McConnell-Trump play for the Supreme Court is beyond hypocritical and dishonest. If Republicans are successful in pushing through a nomination, the civil liberties we have all fought long and hard to achieve could be lost for generations. All this while 1,000 people are dying daily in the United States—more than 205,000 people in total—and there is no end in sight.
While Trump and the Republicans spread fear, promote violence and attempt to destroy our democracy, our Democratic Party continues to fight for a brighter future for America. The Biden/Harris vision for America is based on the desire to make a better America for all people. It recognizes the issue of systematic racism and the need for change, a commitment to healthcare for all, concern about climate change, a commitment to Medicare, support for Social Security and gun control advocacy.
