Dear John,

This past Sunday, I had the honor of speaking at a vigil in Delaware to honor the life and legacy of the late, great Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. It was a great privilege to come together with fellow Delawareans to reflect on the immeasurable impact Justice Ginsburg had on our country.

Justice Ginsburg fought her whole life to create a more just society for us all. From women's rights to LGBTQ+ rights, she stood on the right side of history and moved us toward equality.

Thanks to Justice Ginsburg's work, employers cannot discriminate against their workers based on gender. Schools that are funded by the government must admit women. Men and women are entitled to the same Social Security rights, women are allowed to gain financial independence, and so much more.

We often take many of these rights for granted, as if they'd always been the standard -- but we never could have gotten here without Justice Ginsburg.

She fought for us all, for as long as she possibly could. Now it's on all of us to continue that fight. And we must start now.

Mitch McConnell and Donald Trump are trying to force through Justice Ginsburg's replacement, even though there are less than 40 days until Election Day. We cannot let them succeed. I'm going to do everything I can to stop that from happening and protect Justice Ginsburg's legacy. But I need you with me. Please, contact your US Senators and ask them to honor Justice Ginsburg's wish by waiting until after the elections to confirm a successor.

Thanks for your support,

Chris
