Last week, Donald Trump visited Minnesota -- and wasted no time embracing racist rhetoric.

He coupled a promise to prosecute Congresswoman Ilhan Omar with this statement:

"You have good genes, you know that, right? You have good genes. A lot of it is about the genes, isn't it, don't you believe? The racehorse theory. You think we're so different? You have good genes in Minnesota."
I want to be clear about something: The "racehorse theory" is a racist idea that some of us are born genetically superior to others. This theory was used by the Nazis to justify the Holocaust -- it's eugenics. It's used by white nationalists today, and President Trump elevated that ideology in Minnesota to justify hate.

It's despicable -- and it's not representative of the Minnesota I know and love.

The soul of this state is at stake in this election. This is the rhetoric Donald Trump hopes to win Minnesota with -- unless we stop it right here, right now.

The final end-of-quarter deadline before the end of this election is on Wednesday -- we need to raise $50,000 by midnight on Wednesday to get our ads up on the air and tell the story of a different Minnesota, one that's not driven by fear, but by optimism. But I need your help to do that.
