I’m writing to ask you to make a donation to help us reach our online fundraising goal before Wednesday’s FEC fundraising deadline. But first, I want you to know why your donation is so important -- especially right now.

This will be the final end-of-quarter report we submit to the FEC before Election Day. This is not just an important opportunity to fully fund our campaign efforts heading into the final stretch, this is our last chance to send a message about our grassroots strength.

Over the last few weeks, I’ve faced a surge in misleading attacks from my opponent. It’s the stuff you expect to see -- a lot of Trump-like smears, but not much in terms of ideas or policy proposals.

I don’t think these attacks are effective, but the reality is we can’t take anything for granted. Not long ago, CA-49 was considered a GOP stronghold. And we're still listed as one of the Republicans' top offensive targets in 2020. We can’t let up -- not for one second.

So with that in mind, I have to ask:
