I wrote to you earlier this summer when the Trump administration announced that it would put a bee-killing pesticide, sulfoxaflor, back on the market. In that email I promised we would fight back.
Today, Earthjustice is keeping that promise. In partnership with beekeepers, and people like you, we're taking the administration to court to challenge this reckless decision.
Sulfoxaflor is devastating to bees. The pesticide absorbs into a growing plant, making it toxic for several days. When honeybees bring pollen and nectar tainted with sulfoxaflor back to the hive, the effect on the entire colony can be catastrophic. This is why we are fighting to keep this pesticide off the market.
But this fight won't be won overnight. Luckily, a generous donor has offered to match the upgraded amount of your monthly gift $2-for-$1 for the next 12 months! This will allow us to see this and other fights through to the end! [link removed]
The decision by this administration is a clear handout to companies like Dow AgroSciences (now Corteva Agriscience) and it puts honeybees and other essential pollinators at risk. This is illegal and detrimental to our food system, economy, and environment.
With your support, we will fight every day to protect pollinators and take on those who put profits before the health of the planet.
Thank you for all that you do to ensure the earth has a good lawyer
Sincerely,
Greg Loarie
