Friend -- I need to tell you just how important it is that we get involved in the last round of elections before the redistricting process. We have to use this opportunity to support fair map candidates.

It’s no secret that most Americans have lost faith in our political system -- and I think I know why.

In 2010, the Citizens United court decision cleared the way for a flood of special interest spending that warped our politics. Conservative politicians rode that wave of corporate money to dominate redistricting in 2011.

They entrenched themselves in power for nearly a decade and used that power to pass voter suppression laws and obstruct progress in state legislatures across the country.

We can stop that from repeating next year -- and that starts with electing fair map candidates this year.

Whether you can only phone or text bank for a few hours, or even just contact your friends and family about these candidates, now is the time to get involved! We’re asking you to commit to act to help elect fair maps candidates by signing up for an event today.

Our affiliate, the National Democratic Redistricting Committee, endorsed a slate of candidates running for office who signed a pledge to fight for fair maps -- and we need to help them win their elections. The NDRC helped put all these candidates’ events in one place for folks like you.
