We've had quite a few new sign-ups to our chapter recently, so welcome! We're so glad to have you. This year, we're supporting Deb Ciamacca and Jonathan Kassa in Pennsylvania, which is also a crucial battleground state.
It's been a difficult week with the passing of RBG and the news about Breonna Taylor's case in Louisville,so we hope that here with our chapter, you can channel your anger and your grief into something meaningful, and spend time with people feeling the exact same way.
In weeks running up to the election, we'll be trying to make as many phone calls as we can for Deb and Jonathan. We've made 7,000 dials so far this year, and have a goal of 8.500--but need to surpass that in order to make sure we contact as many voters as possible, given we can't go door-to-door this year due to the pandemic. We'll be phone banking this Saturday for Deb Ciamacca, and we really hope you can join us. If you haven't phone banked before, don't worry--experienced phone bankers will be there to train you. Make 2 calls, make 5, or make dozens, every one counts and helps Democrats win in November. States are one of our main lines of defense to protect our civil rights, and we need to flip them to put and end to Republican gerrymandering, and have fair maps. This year, that is crucial.
