FEEL THE PETE WAVE
Mayor Pete has had an extremely busy week, with no signs of slowing down. Welcome to phase three of the campaign!
Not content to open 20 new fields offices in Iowa, Team Pete launched a plan to tackle climate change – just in time for CNN’s Climate Town Hall!
After storming the Town Hall stage, Mayor Pete also spoke with The New York Post, The Breakfast Club, TMZ and last but not least, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
All these media appearances have been leading to one very special announcement: Team Pete launched their first campaign ad! You can watch the full video here:

VIRGINIA IS FOR LGBTQ CANDIDATES
The battle for control of the Virginia legislature continues to make headlines. One big reason: gun control.
The NRA recently dove into the race, making their largest ever donation in Virginia history. Not to be outdone, Leader of the Virginia House Democratic Caucus Eileen Filler-Corn has pledged to match their donation and support pro-equality candidates.
Undeterred by outside spending, Victory Fund candidates have continued campaigning. Adam Ebbin joined with Virginia’s Labor leaders to celebrate advancements in workers’ protections.
And Del. Mark Levine has led the charge to change Virginia’s Jefferson Davis Highway to Richmond Highway.
Meanwhile, Spotlight candidate Danica Roem has launched her second ad of the cycle, highlighting her dedication to fixing Rt. 28. Watch it here:

LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION!

Danica and Pete aren’t the only LGBTQ candidates to launch a new campaign ad. Victory Fund’s Nashville Metro Council candidate Russ Bradford is also on the airwaves - a key step in his efforts to defeat an anti-LGBTQ opponent. Learn more about his plan for Nashville.
New endorsement alert: Boston Mayor Marty Walsh is throwing his support to Victory Fund candidate Alejandra St. Guillen, running for Boston City Council At-Large. Election Day is coming up – Boston votes on September 24.
Sad news from Texas: Houston City Council candidate Robert Gallegos's campaign signs were defaced last week.
