Hey John, Stephanie, Roy’s political director, here. It’s my job to organize a strategy on how our campaign builds a coalition of supporters and how we reach voters in every corner of North Carolina.
That’s why I was so confused when I saw this headline:
Doing a little digging, it makes more sense.
You see, Trump is trying to reach out to voters in rural and hard-to-reach areas of northeastern North Carolina like the Outer Banks, but he doesn’t think going there is worth the money – so instead he’s holding a rally in Virginia and hoping local news stations broadcast it across the border.
Unlike the Trump campaign, we’re talking to voters in North Carolina, no matter where they are in our state or how rural their area may be.
But like Donald Trump realized, that’s not cheap. North Carolina is a big state, and in order to reach every voter – no matter how rural – we need your help.
That’s why our big quarterly deadline coming up next week is so important. If we fall short, we might not have all the resources we need to reach out to voters in every corner of the state.
